The Small Business Support Unit continues its commitment to building capacity within the National Employment Programme (NEP). We are particularly proud to focus this training series on our NEP Road Clean-Up & Beautification Teams, recognizing the vital role they play in our communities.
On February 26th, we launched the first leg of this series in the Roseau Valley at the Trafalgar Resource Center. The day featured three impactful sessions:
- Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Mindset: Shifting perspectives to see new possibilities.
- Basic Financial Management: Practical strategies for smarter money management.
- Work Ethics: Upholding the professional standards necessary for personal and economic growth.
Our participants engaged in meaningful discussions centered on mindset transformation and the essential skills needed to turn ideas into action. This initiative goes beyond daily tasks; it is about recognizing opportunities, leveraging existing talents, and fostering a sense of ownership.
What’s Next? To ensure no one is left behind, these sessions will be replicated across various communities island-wide. Our goal is to ensure that every member of our beautification teams is equipped with the tools and confidence to pursue long-term personal and financial empowerment.
We look forward to continuing this journey of growth and sustainable development within our communities!
